Hi, Im running Fedora Core 2 with Net MRG version 0.16...

I have SNMP data returning to my computer from a firewall, and the data is coming in correctly as I have the CPU utilization giving its levels, however none of the graphs on the webpage will display.

http//localhost/netmrg/enclose_graph.php?type=mon&id=20 is the link to one of the graphs i am trying to view, but nothing will show up, and if I try to add in the debug=1 nothing will happen... if however i change the enclose to a get, so my url is now... http//localhost/netmrg/get_graph.php?type=mon&id=20 and that returns this error.. "The image “http//localhost/netmrg/get_graph.php?type=mon&id=20” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors." So i added in the debug=1 on that line and doing that gives me this ....

/usr/local/RRDtool graph - -s -108000 -e -360 --title="Netopia GT - Eth0 (Interfaces - Bytes In) (#20)" --imgformat PNG -g -w 575 -h 100 DEFdata1=/usr/local/var/lib/netmrg/rrd/mon_20.rrdmon_20AVERAGE AREAdata1#151590

any ideas on why the graphs arent showing up and how to fix that would be greatly appreciated...

I think your problem is here. Program names in unicies (including linux) are case sensitive, so [b6aaf4d9358]RRDtool[/b6aaf4d9358] is different from [b6aaf4d9358]rrdtool[/b6aaf4d9358], which is the normal case for programs.
The first thing I would suggest trying is confirming the path of your rrdtool binary; if that doesn't work, let us know and we'll go from there.

Hi, yeah the paths to my RRDtool directory are correct...

/usr/local/RRDtool

everything seemed to link in properly when i ran the configure script...

One more thing... Is it possible that my linux installation cant view PNG images? is there somewhere i can test that?.... can i change the format of the pictures that NetMrg displays?

just some ideas...

The rrdtool path should be the path the the binary, not just the directory that the binary is in.

I don't think PNG support should be an issue; if it is, it's an rrdtool compile option.

Two thoughts...

1) You can try copying the rrdtool command to a terminal, which should show you whatever the problem is, be it permissions, paths, or rrdtool syntax.

2) Try removing the "#" from your graph title. We have some known issues with escaping things when passing them to rrdtool, and this might be one of them.
