Has anyone tried to monitor a Packeteer unit? Well...I am! In fact I am using a PacketShaper® 8500 running Software Version 6.2.1

I'm monitoring a Packet Shaper 9500. I can post the OIDs I'm using, if you'd like.

Yes please. If you could post the OIDs it would be a great help!

SNMP Tests I'm using are...

Packeteer - Class Tree Traversals
enterprises.2334.2.1.2.2.1.48.%ifIndex%

Packeteer - TCP Connection Aborts
enterprises.2334.2.1.2.2.1.17.%ifIndex%

Packeteer - TCP Connection Denies
enterprises.2334.2.1.2.2.1.18.%ifIndex%

Packeteer - TCP Connection Exits
enterprises.2334.2.1.2.2.1.14.%ifIndex%

Packeteer - TCP Connection Ignores
enterprises.2334.2.1.2.2.1.16.%ifIndex%

Packeteer - TCP Connection Initiations
enterprises.2334.2.1.2.2.1.13.%ifIndex%

Packeteer - TCP Connection Refuses
enterprises.2334.2.1.2.2.1.15.%ifIndex%

The MIB also provides UDP equivalents for all of these TCP items, but I haven't had the time or reason to set those up yet.

Because these use the %ifIndex% substitution, they need to be used within an interface sub-device.

All of these values are best used as Counters.
