Nope. I did the same for disks (clicked Monitor/graph, that is), but no monitors were automatically created. If I paste the commandline manually, it just created an identical looking PNG. Rrdtool shows no apparent errors. |

And you still have a Groups -> Template Group -> Template Linux Box -> Network Interface -> Bytes In, Bytes Out?
If you have that, Click on 'Template Graph', then click on 'Linux Box - LAN Traffic'. You should have two items, Inbound and Outbound. When you edit 'Inbound', you should see that the monitor is 'Template Linux Box - Network Interface (Interfaces - Bytes In)', and when you edit 'Outbound', you should see that the monitor is 'Template Linux Box - Network Interface (Interfaces - Bytes Out)'.

Nope, I don't have that. Under Monitoring / Groups I just have my own groups. I probably deleted it, since I thought it was just an example group. This is probably why things don't work. Is there any easy way to recover it or is it easier just to reinstall? |

MIght just be easier to reinstall; A lot of the templates rely on the IDs of devices being correct, so inserting them after you've added devices will probably be difficult.
Sorry about the confusion!

I think the confusion is entirely on my side I'll reinstall and document exactly what I did. Maybe the templates should be marked with a different color or something (and a confirmation to deletion)?
Another little bug btw, the interface doesn't work with IE. After clicking "Save settings", the buttons are disabled but the form is not submitted. Firefox works ok. I think the javascript just needs "return true;". Oh, and on the group management side, utf8_decode() is not called for group names. I can contribute a patch if that is easier? This is in 0.17, so it maybe fixed already. |

I agree. I've started bug#326 to address this.

The IE problems should have been fixed for 0.18, in bug#299. |
