hi all,
i'm happy to find a new version of netmrg, but now that all works fine i'm worried about upgrading my fedora- server.
does i have to stop netmrg, upgrade with rpm -uvh netmrg0.17.rpm and then restart?

No, you won't need to restart netmrg or your server.
The only thing you need to do is login to your NetMRG install (very) shortly after upgrading NetMRG in order to run the updater (which you will be guided to if you are an admin).
