Hi,
first of all, allow me to congratulate for the excellent product you are developing. I'm currently monitoring several dozens of network equipment(Firewalls/Switches/Routers), and it works flawlessly.
The main problem I'm having is with event monitors. As far as I could see, you have to create them device by device, which becomes fairly tedious to do on a lot of devices, especially when I have several event monitors per device.
Is there any workaround I can do to, let's say, copy the monitors from one device to another, or is there any event template in the works?
Another question is.. is there any way I can correlate events from different monitors? let's say, a cisco PIX CPU above a certain level AND the rate of change of established connections increasing would trigger an event.
Thanks,
Tiago |

Thank you! We love praise! :D

You're absolutely right... it is tedious. There currently aren't any shortcuts for this in NetMRG but it is certainly something we hope to accomplish, probably in the form of some sort of templating.

Again, not yet, unfortunately. This is definitely something we want in the future as well. I'm not sure what timeline to give you for these features... my major installs don't really take advantage of events, and so they tend to get pushed back.
Thanks for the feedback, and hopefully we'll have it done before you know it! |

Hi.
I'm also very tired when I must add couple of events to all subdevice interfaces.
Is there any chance to have such events templates soon ?
Regards.

Unfortunately, I don't see this happening in the near future. We're going to get everything on the current post-0.18 part of the Public Roadmap done before we get into event work, which will probably be in the post-post-0.18 version.
