Hi,

I just setup NetMRG and have checked to make sure SNMP is setup and there are now errors being generated, I have also ran netmrg-gatherer -a and its collecting data but not graphing anything. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have been through all the logs and fixed any permissions that I have found. It graphed for about five minutes and quit.

CentOS Enterprise 4 Linux
MySQL

Let me know if you need any additional information.

Have you setup the cron script?
Did you use the RPM to install, or install from source?

I did it from source. Its graphing now but its not continuous, I have the cron job setup as the instruction state.

I'm also only getting about four graphs and the others are not there yet just small squares...

Thanks for the reply

I'm also noticing this in the log file for netmrg, should this be listing twice and with a duration of 0 seconds?

Dev: 0002] Starting device thread at 2005-11-08 10:45:01.

Having two listings should be fine; it looks like you have two devices created.
Edit your devices and make sure they don't have SNMP disabled on them.

I have been beating my head against the wall trying to get this graphing. Is there anything else I can try? I have the cron job setup for netmrg and in /etc/crontab. I am still getting 0 for all of my graphs....

Post the output of 'netmrg-gatherer -sm' and we'll see if we can find anything.

What version of RRDTOOL did you install? The latest stable release of NetMRG only supports 1.0.x versions.

I'm running 1.0.50 for rrd. It seems to now be graphing some stuff. Some things are not graphing constantly like fro example the disks.

I do have a few questions about adding new things to graph. Which is the best way to had your NIC's? by adding the interface or by going in to monitored devices and selecting the NIC that way? Also would this be the same for other things you want to monitor?

Thanks for your help!
